CRX-5iA is FANUC's 5 kg collaborative robot arm with 994 mm reach and ±0.03 mm repeatability. The six-axis, 25 kg manipulator supports hand-guided setup and touchscreen programming for assembly, machine tending, packing and material-handling cells.
About
CRX-5iA is the smallest-payload member of FANUC's CRX collaborative-robot range. The six-axis arm carries up to 5 kg across a 994 mm reach and has a 25 kg mechanical mass. FANUC specifies ±0.03 mm repeatability, a maximum linear speed of 2,000 mm/s outside collaborative-speed limits and IP67 protection for the robot body and wrist. Floor, angled and inverted installations let integrators adapt the arm to compact workcells.
A touchscreen pendant and drag-and-drop interface reduce the programming barrier for machine tending, assembly, dispensing, material removal and pick-and-place work. Contact detection supports collaborative applications, but the arm is only one part of a safe system: tooling, workpiece hazards, speed, separation, guarding and the completed risk assessment determine whether people may share the workspace. FANUC markets the CRX family with an eight-year maintenance-free operating claim under its stated service conditions.
