About

About Index

Index is Figure AI’s contributor network and data pipeline for collecting first-person video of people performing everyday physical tasks. The mobile app distributes recording assignments, captures task demonstrations and feeds accepted video into Figure’s internal data-processing workflow. At launch, Figure reported 264,000 downloads, 44,000 weekly active users and more than 16 million uploaded videos across 108 countries.

Index is not a robot-control model itself. It supplies real-world human demonstrations to Helix, Figure’s vision-language-action system, so the model can learn broader task, object and environment coverage. Figure said the pipeline was receiving 30 minutes of video per second at launch and had paid contributors more than $15 million.
