About

About UST-30LX

UST-30LX is Hokuyo's compact two-dimensional scanning LiDAR for localization, mapping and obstacle detection on AMRs, AGVs, carts and UAVs. It scans a 270-degree plane every 25 milliseconds and streams distance and intensity data over 100BASE-TX Ethernet, with selectable 0.25- or 0.125-degree angular resolution and up to three echoes per direction.

The 130 g sensor is rated IP67 at the housing, although Hokuyo excludes the supplied connectors from that rating. Its specified range is 30 metres on a white target and 12 metres at 10% reflectance, with accuracy of ±40 mm under factory test conditions. Hokuyo explicitly states it is not a safety device.
