About

About RobDozer

RobDozer is IAI ELTA's ELA-6641 autonomous armoured combat-engineering vehicle for opening routes, removing large or suspicious obstacles and carrying out earthworks in high-risk areas. The system applies IAI's autonomy package to a bulldozer platform so engineering units can move, dig and shape terrain while reducing personnel exposure.

The vehicle can mount additional manipulators for digging positions, constructing defences, erecting barriers and building embankments. IAI describes a 15-ton armour suite protecting the cabin, engine, fuel and oil tanks, hydraulics and electrical systems, with optional slat armour. An October 2018 contract followed development and demonstrations and covered conversion of Caterpillar dozers for autonomous operation in threatened areas.
