Infinium Scan combines an autonomous ground robot with a tethered self-flying drone to scan pallet locations and carton counts in warehouse aisles and transfer the records to a WMS.
About
Infinium Scan is an autonomous warehouse inventory system built around a mobile ground robot and a tethered self-flying drone. The base navigates warehouse aisles while the drone raises multiple cameras to scan pallet barcodes, locations and carton counts, including storage positions above normal manual reach. The tether supplies continuous power and keeps the aircraft physically connected to the ground unit.
The system sends captured inventory records to warehouse management software and is designed to work without warehouse Wi-Fi or a pilot. Infinium Robotics specifies a scan time of two to five seconds per pallet location, operation above 30 feet, and access to very narrow aisles about 0.7 metres wide. Chevron Oronite Singapore has used Infinium Scan for stocktaking and reported reducing work that took days to a matter of hours.
