LBR iisy 8 R930 is KUKA's 8 kg collaborative industrial arm with 930 mm reach and ±0.05 mm pose repeatability. Its six-axis mechanics, joint torque sensing and iiQKA.OS2/KR C5 micro-2 platform support flexible production and material-handling cells.
About
LBR iisy 8 R930 is the compact 8 kg, 930 mm member of KUKA's six-axis LBR iisy cobot family. The exact model weighs about 43.2 kg and KUKA's model sheet specifies ±0.05 mm pose repeatability, IP54 protection and floor, ceiling, wall or angled installation. Integrated joint-torque sensing supports hand guidance and safety functions, while the current platform uses the KR C5 micro-2 controller and iiQKA.OS2 engineering environment.
KUKA positions the arm for machine tending, assembly, pick-and-place, packaging, inspection and material handling, including integration with grippers, vision, PLCs and production equipment. The common software and controller architecture is intended to let integrators scale from a single cobot cell into broader KUKA automation. A cobot designation does not make every application intrinsically safe: tooling, process hazards, operating speed and the completed cell risk assessment determine whether direct human collaboration is appropriate.
