Juno

Juno is Lely's commercial autonomous feed-pushing robot for dairy barns. It follows configured routes beside the feed fence and repeatedly moves roughage back within cows' reach, using ultrasound and gyroscope guidance, dynamic pushing and automatic charging.

About Juno

Lely Juno automates the repeated feed-pushing rounds that normally require a farmer or tractor. A rotating lower skirt moves roughage back toward the feed fence while the 620 kg machine follows configured barn routes. Ultrasound sensors measure distance from the fence, a gyroscope supports direction control and inductive sensing can guide outdoor sections. Dynamic pushing adjusts the robot's offset based on the amount of feed present.

Mobile route setup through Lely Control Plus works with automatic charging, bumper-based obstacle stops and options such as a skirt lifter, LED visibility and barn-door control. Juno measures 110 cm in diameter, travels at 12 m/min, handles slopes up to 15% and drives for one hour between charges. Juno pushes already distributed feed. Lely Vector handles ingredient loading, ration mixing and group-specific dispensing.
