Vector MFR Next is Lely's commercial automatic mixing and feeding robot for dairy and cattle barns. It carries up to 800 kg of feed—35% more than the previous generation—and autonomously mixes, transports and distributes group-specific rations throughout the day.
About
Vector MFR Next is the mobile mixing and feeding robot in Lely's automatic feeding system. A feed grabber loads ingredients at the feed kitchen; the robot mixes the ration, travels to assigned groups and dispenses fresh feed along the feeding alley. Lely specifies an 800 kg maximum loading capacity, 35% above the previous generation, and highlights a strengthened driveline, front and rear lights and access to robot status through an updated app.
The system supports frequent, group-specific feeding without requiring a tractor run for every ration. It can serve narrow alleys, multiple barns and sloping routes, while an updated feed-centre layout can load two robots simultaneously for larger farms. Vector is a site-level feeding installation comprising the vehicle and its supporting infrastructure: feed storage, ingredient loading, routing, ration configuration, electrical infrastructure and Lely service all shape performance. Lely commercially launched the MFR Next on 18 March 2025.
