MARTAC's MANTAS T8 is a compact uncrewed surface vessel in the company's autonomous USV family, designed for maritime missions and fleet operations.
About
MANTAS T8 is MARTAC's 2.5 m compact uncrewed surface vessel for distributed maritime sensing, survey, inspection and communications missions. The electric craft can operate independently or as a smaller node alongside larger MANTAS and Devil Ray vessels, giving operators a deployable platform for missions that benefit from multiple autonomous vehicles.
MARTAC and Sealartec integrated T8 with an autonomous launch-and-recovery system carried by a Devil Ray T38. During the published demonstration, the larger vessel deployed and recovered the T8 without personnel handling the small craft in the water, with the system designed for operation through sea state four. The arrangement supports nested missions in which the T38 transports smaller vehicles before releasing them near the operating area.
