NEO Hands are 1X's tendon-driven dexterous robotic hands for the NEO humanoid. The subsystem combines 25 total degrees of freedom, force control, tactile sensing and IP68 sealing for household manipulation tasks.
About
NEO Hands are the integrated manipulation assemblies used on every shipping 1X NEO home robot. Each tendon-driven hand has 25 degrees of freedom, including 22 fully actuated degrees across the fingers and palm plus three at the wrist. Low-ratio tendon drives make the joints backdrivable and force-controlled.
The hands combine joint proprioception with tactile sensing across the fingertips and hand surfaces for contact, slip and shear feedback. NEO Hands are integrated NEO subsystems and are not sold independently. Their operation depends on the robot's arms, perception, control software and task supervision.
