Jetson Orin NX 16GB is NVIDIA's compact embedded AI computer module for robots and autonomous machines. Its Ampere GPU, eight-core Arm CPU, 16 GB LPDDR5 memory and up to 157 TOPS support onboard perception, sensor fusion and inference.
About
Jetson Orin NX 16GB is a production system-on-module in NVIDIA's Jetson Orin family, sized for embedded machines with constrained space, power and thermal budgets. The module combines a 1,024-core Ampere GPU with 32 Tensor cores, an eight-core Arm Cortex-A78AE CPU, two NVIDIA Deep Learning Accelerators and 16 GB of 128-bit LPDDR5 memory delivering 102 GB/s peak bandwidth. Current MAXN SUPER support raises advertised sparse INT8 performance to 157 TOPS.
Robotics developers use the module as the compute layer behind camera and lidar processing, learned perception, sensor fusion and local autonomy applications. High-speed CSI and PCIe interfaces connect sensors and accelerators, while the Jetson software stack supplies operating-system, CUDA and AI tooling. The TOPS figure is a peak sparse-inference metric under a supported power mode, not a measure of complete robot performance; application speed depends on model precision, software, thermals, I/O and the carrier-board design.
