Robotnik SUMMIT-XL STEEL is a steel-framed omnidirectional mobile robot introduced for indoor logistics, service-robotics integration and research with payloads up to 200 kg.
About
SUMMIT-XL STEEL is a steel-framed omnidirectional unmanned ground vehicle introduced by Robotnik for indoor logistics, service-robotics integration and research. The platform carries up to 200 kg and uses a ROS-based modular control architecture, with an industrial safety PLC and interfaces for additional sensors or manipulators.
The standard configuration combines two 2D laser scanners with an inertial unit for autonomous or remote navigation. An optional IP65 configuration improves protection against dust and liquids, while rubber wheels convert the base from omnidirectional motion to skid steering for rougher outdoor terrain. Robotnik specified up to ten hours of continuous movement with the enlarged battery space.
