Barakuda is Shark Robotics’ wheeled all-terrain mule UGV for carrying and towing equipment, supporting casualty evacuation and providing remote reconnaissance in hazardous terrain.
About
Barakuda is a four-wheel all-terrain mule robot for moving equipment, supplies and people through hazardous or difficult ground. The remotely operated platform carries up to 500 kg and tows up to 1,100 kg, with modular fittings for logistics, casualty evacuation, reconnaissance sensors and mission recording. Front and rear cameras provide the operator’s driving view.
Four 2.2 kW electric motors drive the 590 kg vehicle at up to 20 km/h. Shark Energy batteries provide up to ten hours of operation, and the chassis clears 30 cm obstacles while handling 40-degree slopes. The 1.85 × 1.20 metre footprint, IP65 protection and optional puncture-proof tyres suit outdoor deployment. Control reaches about 1 km with a mesh relay, and ROS 2 or UDP interfaces support external integration.
