Shibaura Machine THE is the company's redesigned high-performance SCARA line, distinct from its TH and THL families. It comprises THE400, THE600, THE800 and THE1000 models, spanning 400–1,000 mm arm lengths and maximum payloads from 5 to 20 kg. Published 2 kg reference cycles are 0.39 seconds for THE400, about 0.3 seconds for THE600 and about 0.4 seconds for THE800 and THE1000.

The redesign combines higher rigidity with trajectory accuracy for electronics and automotive-component assembly, inspection and transfer. Allowable inertia rises from 0.06 kg·m² on THE400 to 0.6 kg·m² on THE800/THE1000, supporting larger tooling and workpieces. Shibaura pairs the new line with the TS5000 controller and TP5000 pendant, while its controller listing also identifies compact TSL3000 support for THE400. The exact model and motion program determine achievable throughput.
