About Stretch 4
Stretch 4 combines an omnidirectional 45-centimetre-diameter base with a vertical lift, telescoping arm, wrist and quick-release tool interface. The arm reaches 61 centimetres including the wrist and carries up to 2.5 kg when fully extended. Calibrated RGB and depth cameras, floor-hazard sensing and contact-sensitive lightweight mechanics support operation in human indoor environments.
The robot ships with Ubuntu, ROS 2, a Python SDK and reference demonstrations for navigation, manipulation and embodied AI. Its onboard computer runs application software locally, and automatic charging supports longer unattended experiments. Hello Robot sells Stretch 4 as an integrated commercial platform for research, education, workplace automation and assistive-robotics pilots.
