Teledyne RDI's Tasman DVL is a compact phased-array Doppler velocity log for subsea navigation, with field-swappable transducers and optional ADCP capability.
About
Tasman DVL is Teledyne RD Instruments' phased-array Doppler velocity log for velocity aiding, bottom tracking and station keeping on ROVs, AUVs, submersibles and surface vessels. The instrument is offered at 300 kHz or 600 kHz, with a field-replaceable transducer that allows service without replacing the complete pressure housing.
The 300 kHz configuration bottom-tracks to 420 m with the extended-range option, while the 600 kHz version reaches 160 m and begins tracking from 0.15 m. Both support 6,000 m depth-rated housings, Ethernet and RS232 communications, health and leak monitoring, and an optional current-profiling upgrade. Maximum ping rates are 7 Hz at 300 kHz and 12 Hz at 600 kHz.
