About Terra B1

Terra B1 is Terra Drone’s domestically produced counter-UAS interceptor for long-range loitering threats such as Shahed-type drones. Japan’s Acquisition, Technology & Logistics Agency selected it from a 38-company proposal process and tested it alongside three other aircraft between July 15 and August 6, 2026.

Terra Drone says Terra B1 was the sole platform to pass the demonstration. ATLA then signed a mass-production procurement contract on August 25, moving the aircraft from evaluation into an implementation programme that includes production, spares, batteries, communications, control equipment, maintenance and operator training.
