About

About Autonomous Reach Truck

Third Wave Automation’s Autonomous Reach Truck is a warehouse forklift configured for pallet pickup, transport, staging and rack placement. The vehicle uses 360-degree, centimetre-level 3D perception to distinguish people, forklifts and payloads while navigating shared facilities. Fleet software coordinates repeatable work and can adjust operating zones as warehouse layouts or processes change.

The same truck supports four control modes: fully autonomous execution for routine work, remote assistance for exceptions, full remote operation and conventional manual driving. This shared-autonomy design lets a remote operator resolve edge cases and return control to the autonomous system without dispatching a person to the vehicle. The product is the reach-truck implementation of Third Wave’s autonomy stack, not a generic label for every supported forklift configuration.
