About ZED Cameras
Stereolabs ZED cameras use passive stereo vision to calculate depth from synchronised left and right images. The range spans USB cameras for development to rugged GMSL2 models such as ZED X, which carries an IP67 enclosure for robots and vehicles operating outdoors or in industrial environments.
The ZED SDK adds visual odometry, object detection, spatial mapping and multi-camera localisation. This lets developers use one camera family for perception, navigation and digital-twin capture, with processing deployed on host PCs or NVIDIA Jetson edge computers.
