NASA selected Lunar Outpost's Pegasus lunar terrain vehicle for a $220 million Phase 1 High Achievability Mission task order under the Lunar Terrain Vehicle Services contract.

  • NASA awarded Lunar Outpost $220 million to build and deliver the first phase of lunar terrain vehicles under LTVS.
  • Pegasus is designed for crewed and uncrewed lunar surface mobility, including manual, autonomous and teleoperated driving.
  • NASA said the vehicle supports Moon Base operations such as terrain characterization, material movement, resource prospecting, site preparation and astronaut transport.

Lunar Outpost develops space robotics, lunar surface mobility systems, autonomous rovers, and in-space infrastructure for extreme environments. Its platform work includes MAPP lunar rovers, the Lunar Dawn / Eagle LTV effort, autonomous swarm software, and C3 systems for lunar, cislunar, and planetary operations.
