ADNOC deploys Taurob inspection robot at Taweelah gas plant
ADNOC deployed a Taurob heavy-duty inspection robot at its Taweelah Gas Compression Plant for autonomous inspection work in hazardous environments.
Evidence notes
- The robot was conducting on-site autonomous inspections for gas leaks, hotspots and other hazards.
- The system uses 3D LiDAR and thermal cameras to inspect operating energy infrastructure.
- ADNOC described the Taweelah deployment as live operations, separate from later co-development plans under the ARGOS joint-industry project.
Company context
Taurob designs and manufactures autonomous ground robots for inspection, maintenance and data collection in hazardous industrial environments. Its ATEX-certified systems conduct routine missions around energy and process sites, collecting video, audio, gas and other sensor data while supporting remote operations. The company was founded in Vienna in 2010 and introduced its first ATEX-certified emergency-response robot in 2012.
