DeTect and Ocergy deployed a MERLIN Avian Radar System on the Blue Oracle buoy for offshore bird-migration monitoring.

Evidence notes

  • The radar was installed on the OCG-Data buoy 30 kilometres east of Port-la-Nouvelle, France.
  • The system was scheduled to remain operational throughout the bird-migration season.
  • DeTect described the installation as the first successful bird-radar deployment on a low-cost dedicated far-offshore floater.
