Apr 28, 2026 · Deployment · Subsea Tech · Maritime

The Albanian Navy acquired a Mini TORTUGA XP4 remotely operated vehicle for underwater intervention missions.

  • The system was selected for explosive-ordnance-disposal and mine-countermeasure work in confined and shallow-water environments.
  • Its mission set includes seabed mapping, acoustic detection and classification of submerged objects, and intervention with a teleoperated manipulator.
  • The compact ROV provides real-time video and data recording and can be rapidly deployed from small vessels by a small team.

Subsea Tech designs and manufactures remotely operated, autonomous underwater and uncrewed surface vehicles for inspection and survey. Its range covers compact ROVs, intervention vehicles, USV catamarans and imaging systems used in infrastructure, energy, defence and marine science.
