Jan 13, 2025 · Demonstration · Aerial Precision · Perception

Aerial Precision demonstrated an AP-LiDAR-M Gen II aerial survey and on-site iPad processing workflow at Droneport.

  • The sensor flew on a DJI M350 RTK for 12 minutes and 51 seconds, covering two hectares from a height of 45 metres.
  • The scan captured 100,275,397 points at a reported density of 5,401 points per square metre.
  • Aerial Precision processed the dataset on an iPad Pro M2 in eight minutes and reported point-cloud accuracy of five to seven centimetres.

Aerial Precision develops compact LiDAR hardware and processing software for drones and mobile robots. Its payloads turn laser scanning into georeferenced three-dimensional data for surveying, infrastructure inspection, forestry and other mapping workflows.
