OceanScan delivers first LAUVs to Danish Navy
OceanScan delivered three mine-countermeasure LAUVs under a Danish defence framework agreement.
Evidence notes
- OceanScan reported the first three-unit delivery on February 14, 2022 after handover at Frederikshavn naval base in January.
- The LAUVs carried side-scan sonar, inertial navigation, Doppler velocity logging and surface and underwater communications for mine hunting.
- Sea trials located a prepared sonar target within three metres after more than 8 kilometres of unaided submerged travel.
