Terra Drone adds autonomous signal recovery to Terra Xross 1
Terra Drone implemented an autonomous signal-recovery function on the Terra Xross 1 indoor inspection drone, allowing the aircraft to retrace its route after losing controller communications.

Evidence notes
- When communications fail, the drone automatically flies back along its original path until it can reconnect with the controller.
- The function is designed for tanks, boiler rooms, underground structures and other GPS-denied interiors where radio signals can be obstructed.
- Terra Drone developed the feature through a Nippon Foundation and DeepStar programme using operational feedback from consortium members including Chevron and Shell.
