ROMS launches NINBUS 3D robotic case-storage system
ROMS launched NINBUS, a case-storage platform whose mobile robot climbs within the rack and drives cases directly to an input/output station.
Evidence notes
- One robot handles horizontal travel, vertical travel, lifting and placement, and installations can start with one robot and one rack.
- The rack can hold four case rows on each side of an aisle; ROMS claims up to three times the storage of conventional medium/light shelving.
- Distributed control lets other robots cover a stopped unit, and ROMS offers the system through a Robot-as-a-Service rental option.
