Helsing raises $1.8B at an $18B valuation
Helsing raised a $1.8 billion Series E at an $18 billion valuation, making it one of Europe’s most heavily capitalised defence-technology companies.
Founded in 2021, Helsing initially built AI software for interpreting battlefield data and supporting operational decisions. It has since expanded into autonomous aircraft, drones, underwater systems and the manufacturing infrastructure around them.
The new valuation is more than three times the $5.4 billion attached to Helsing’s previous major round in 2024. It also places the company well above most European defence and autonomy peers while it continues converting software programmes into complete autonomous platforms.

Walden Robotics launches with a $300M seed
Walden Robotics emerged from stealth with a $300 million seed round at a $1.1 billion valuation.
The company was formed by leaders from Toyota Research Institute and is building general-purpose physical AI systems for manufacturing and logistics. Toyota and Deviation Capital co-led the round, with participation from NVIDIA, Boeing, Samsung Ventures and other strategic investors.
The size of the financing is unusual even within the current robotics cycle. Walden has raised unicorn-scale capital at launch around technology developed through Toyota’s industrial research ecosystem, with its systems already being positioned for work inside live manufacturing environments.
The investor group also gives Walden access to several sides of the deployment stack, spanning industrial customers, compute, aerospace manufacturing and electronics.

LimX raises nearly $200M before a planned IPO
LimX Dynamics completed a pre-IPO financing of nearly $200 million, bringing the company’s disclosed funding over the past six months to approximately $400 million.
The Shenzhen company develops general-purpose humanoid and embodied AI systems across several body forms, including full-size humanoids, modular research platforms and wheel-legged robots.
LimX raised a separate $200 million Series B in February. The rapid follow-on financing places it among China’s best-capitalised private humanoid companies.
The company describes the latest round as part of its longer-term capital-market strategy, although it has not announced a listing venue or timetable.

Resilience reported that Cambridge Aerospace was closing in on a $300 million financing at a valuation of approximately $3.4 billion.
The British company develops lower-cost systems for intercepting drones and other aerial threats. Resilience also reported more than $140 million in signed contracts and approximately $5 billion in its commercial pipeline.
The process follows Kraken Technology Group’s $175 million Series B at a $1 billion valuation the previous week.
The Cambridge Aerospace financing has not been officially announced. Its size, valuation and commercial figures remain attributed to Resilience and may change before completion.
Hyundai moves to complete its ownership of Boston Dynamics
Hyundai Motor Group announced plans to acquire SoftBank’s remaining stake in Boston Dynamics, ending SoftBank’s ownership and bringing the robotics company fully under Hyundai interests.
The purchase had been reported in June, but Hyundai’s intention to complete the ownership consolidation was announced this week.
Hyundai acquired control of Boston Dynamics from SoftBank in 2021. SoftBank retained a minority position, which was subsequently diluted as Hyundai affiliates continued financing the company.
Terms of the new transaction were not disclosed. Korean reporting estimated the consideration at approximately $325 million to $335 million.
The acquisition consolidates ownership as Boston Dynamics moves Atlas toward production and industrial deployment. Hyundai plans to train and validate Atlas through its Georgia manufacturing operations before broader factory use later in the decade.
Boston Dynamics has now passed from Google to SoftBank and then into full Hyundai control. The latest transaction closes that ownership sequence as its humanoid programme moves from research into a manufacturing-led commercial phase.
Manufacturing assets also changed hands
Quantum Cyber completed the real-property acquisition for its planned autonomous-defence manufacturing operation in Bridgeport. The company said manufacturing equipment is covered by a separate asset-purchase agreement.
The transaction gives Quantum Cyber physical infrastructure for its Quantum Drones operation. It marks a defence-drone manufacturing pivot and asset build-out, rather than showing that the company is already an established robotics manufacturer.
