HD Hyundai Robotics manufactures industrial robot arms, high-payload collaborative robots, controllers and automated production systems. Its portfolio covers welding, handling, palletizing, tending and smart-factory deployment.
About
HD Hyundai’s robot business began inside Hyundai Heavy Industries in 1984 and was established as the present dedicated company in 2020. Based in Daegu, HD Hyundai Robotics develops its own articulated robots, clean robots, collaborative systems and controllers while integrating complete production cells for automotive, shipbuilding, electronics and heavy-industry customers. The current company is part of HD Hyundai, which is separate from Hyundai Motor Group and Boston Dynamics.
The portfolio spans conventional industrial arms, the Hi7 controller, welding packages and the HDC hybrid collaborative series with payloads up to 50 kilograms. HD Hyundai Robotics also develops vision, AI safety and production-software layers and applies them in smart-factory and smart-shipyard programmes. Recent commercial work includes ArcLift GO robotic welding systems for Chouest Group and group-wide factory automation projects, providing evidence beyond internal research or prototype activity.
