Oshen develops compact autonomous surface vessels for persistent ocean observation. Its one-metre C-Star combines wind propulsion, solar-powered electronics, satellite communications and edge processing with configurable acoustic and metocean payloads. Individual vessels can operate for months, while coordinated constellations spread sensing across a wider area than a crewed vessel or fixed buoy.
The company delivers data as a service and also offers platforms for rental or purchase. Publicly described work spans environmental monitoring, weather and ocean-data collection, passive acoustic sensing and maritime security. Oshen reports a 2,000-nautical-mile autonomous passage and more than 200 continuous days on station, alongside Royal Navy-funded North Atlantic trials.
