Syensqo is a global advanced-materials company supplying specialty polymers, composites and adhesives across aerospace, mobility, electronics and other industries. Vertical Aerospace selected its composite and bonding materials for the Valo airframe.
About
Syensqo became an independent public company in December 2023 through Solvay’s separation of its specialty businesses. Headquartered in Brussels, it operates a global research and manufacturing network across specialty polymers, composite materials, formulations and advanced chemical technologies. The company is broad-based; robotics and autonomous systems are application markets rather than its sole focus.
Its direct Korthos relevance comes from materials that enable lighter, thermally resilient and structurally efficient platforms. In aerospace, Syensqo supplies composite resins, thermoplastic materials, adhesives and process support used in airframes, propulsion and interiors. Vertical Aerospace named it a long-term materials supplier across the Valo structure as part of the aircraft’s industrialisation plan. That agreement supports a supply-chain classification in composites without treating Syensqo as an aircraft or robot manufacturer.
