Teal Drones builds small tactical unmanned aircraft for military, government and public-safety users. Its Black Widow and Teal 2 systems provide portable reconnaissance, night operations and modular mission integration.
About
Teal Drones develops small unmanned aircraft for short-range reconnaissance, situational awareness and public-safety missions. Its current Black Widow platform is a modular, man-portable sUAS designed for U.S. and allied military users, while Teal 2 established the company's night-operations and Blue UAS position. The aircraft support secure communications, thermal and visual sensing, multi-vehicle control and integrations with navigation, mapping and threat-detection software.
Teal operates as a Red Cat Holdings subsidiary from a purpose-built facility in South Salt Lake, Utah. The site combines engineering, testing, manufacturing, supply-chain and compliance work for U.S.-made aircraft. Black Widow was selected for the U.S. Army Short Range Reconnaissance programme, and the company also supplies federal customers and defence evaluation programmes. Teal is therefore a finished tactical-aircraft builder; radios, sensors, compute and autonomy integrations are supplied within its systems by specialist partners.
