IRB 390 FlexPacker is ABB's high-speed delta robot family for picking and packing food, pharmaceutical, consumer and household products. Four-axis and five-axis configurations support primary picking as well as shelf-ready and retail-ready packaging, with the added rotational axis handling products that need orientation during placement.
The family reaches payloads up to 15 kg, while the five-axis configuration is rated to 10 kg. A 10 kg / 1,300 mm variant expands the working range for larger packaging cells, and ABB describes operation alongside conveyor systems running up to 100 m/min. The parallel-link structure and ceiling-mounted layout leave the area beneath the robot available for conveyors, tooling and product flow.
