IRB 6730S is ABB's shelf-mounted six-axis industrial robot family for dense production cells and processes that benefit from downward reach. Three configurations pair 150, 210 or 270 kg payloads with reaches of 4.0, 3.5 or 3.1 metres. Variant-dependent position repeatability runs from 0.06 to 0.07 mm, while path accuracy spans 0.9 to 1.6 mm.
Mounting the arm above floor level frees cell space and gives the robot a broad vertical and horizontal working envelope around presses, moulding machines and material-transfer stations. ABB pairs the family with its OmniCore controller and targets die casting, injection moulding, material handling and welding. The shelf architecture also supports closely spaced multi-robot layouts around large workpieces and process equipment.
