PoWa is ABB's high-speed collaborative robot family combining fenceless collaborative safety with industrial-grade throughput for machine tending, handling, palletizing, welding and screwdriving.
About
ABB PoWa is a six-model collaborative robot family spanning seven to 30 kilograms of payload and flange reaches from 1.05 to 2.10 metres. PoWa 10 and PoWa 13 exceed five metres per second with their rated payloads, while the wider range covers machine tending, material movement, palletising, welding, assembly and screwdriving. ABB launched the family globally in April 2026 for high-throughput applications that still require collaborative operating modes.
The arms use OmniCore control, Wizard graphical programming and plug-and-play tool connections. Power and Force Limiting and Speed and Separation Monitoring support fenceless cell designs when the complete application risk assessment permits them. Protection reaches IP65 or IP67 by model, with cleanroom-compatible configurations also available. ABB’s stated 60-minute setup example applies specifically to pick-and-place trials with PoWa 10 and PoWa 13, so it is retained as a configuration-bound deployment result.
