HEBI Robotics X-Series Actuators are series-elastic Ethernet joint modules that combine motors, gearing, sensing and control electronics for modular robots and custom arms.
About
X-Series Actuators are HEBI Robotics' legacy family of series-elastic robot joints, spanning the X5-1, X5-4, X5-9, X8-3, X8-9 and X8-16 configurations. Each module combines a brushless motor, gear train, spring, encoders and control electronics, with continuous rotation and a through-bore for daisy-chained power and networking.
The family communicates over dual-port 100 Mbit/s Ethernet and accepts 24–48 V DC input. Integrated sensing covers absolute angular position, velocity, output torque, inertial motion, temperature, voltage and current. Model ratings range from 1.3 to 16 N·m continuous torque and 14 to 90 rpm maximum speed. HEBI supplies MATLAB, ROS, Python, C/C++ and C# interfaces for building wheeled robots and multi-joint arms.
