Leddar Pixell was LeddarTech's rugged solid-state 3D flash lidar for assisted and autonomous vehicles. Its 177.5 x 16 degree field of view, 96 x 8 segments and IP67 fanless enclosure supported close-range pedestrian, cyclist and obstacle coverage; LeddarTech ceased active operations in 2025.
About
Leddar Pixell was a 905 nm solid-state 3D flash lidar developed by LeddarTech for close-range perception around commercial, public-transit and off-road vehicles. It illuminated its full 177.5 x 16 degree field of view at once and returned a 96 x 8 segment depth image at up to 20 Hz through 100BASE-T1 automotive Ethernet.
The fanless IP67 enclosure weighed 2.1 kg and was designed for shock, vibration, dust and wide-temperature vehicle operation. Published configurations supported pedestrian, cyclist and obstacle detection, but LeddarTech ceased active operations and entered bankruptcy in 2025, ending the product's active commercial programme.
