About Sea Archer

Sea Archer is a 37-foot uncrewed surface vessel built around Leidos Autonomous Vessel Architecture. Its twin diesel outboards drive the craft at up to 40 knots, while the hull provides a stated 1,500-mile range and at least 2,000 pounds of enclosed payload capacity. Leidos completed initial sea trials in 2025 and moved the development-stage vessel toward mission testing and higher-volume production.

The vessel can launch from a boat trailer towed by a pickup truck and refuel through ordinary diesel infrastructure. Its hull is designed for tight turns, high-speed stability in rough water and payload changes across intelligence, patrol and interdiction missions. Leidos uses rugged commercial components and a design intended for construction in conventional boatyards, linking its technical range and payload goals to a production model aimed at deploying larger numbers of small autonomous craft.
