RV-E Precision Reduction Gear Series

RV-E is Nabtesco's solid-shaft cycloidal precision reduction-gear family for industrial robot joints and high-load servo axes. The series combines less than 1 arc-minute lost motion with high rigidity, five-times-rated-torque shock resistance and ratios spanning 31 to 236.29 across eight current sizes.

About

About RV-E Precision Reduction Gear Series

RV-E reduction gears use Nabtesco's cycloidal mechanism and an integrated output bearing to carry external loads while reducing motor speed in robot joints and servo axes. The solid-shaft family is the slim counterpart to the RV-N range, with less than 1 arc-minute lost motion and acceleration capability up to 2.5 times rated torque.

Current reference sizes span RV-6E through RV-1500E. Standard ratios vary by model from 31 to 236.29, letting designers select the required torque and speed envelope without changing the underlying transmission architecture. The range is rated to withstand shock loads up to five times nominal torque.
