rc_viscore

rc_viscore is Roboception's high-resolution industrial stereo sensor with two 12 MP monochrome cameras and an integrated random-dot projector. It supplies dense depth for small-part detection, robot guidance and inspection through rc_cube or off-board GPU processing.

About

About rc_viscore

rc_viscore pairs two factory-calibrated global-shutter monochrome cameras on a 210-millimetre baseline with an integrated rc_randomdot projector. Each camera captures 4112 × 3008 pixels at up to nine hertz. The projector adds texture to plain surfaces, helping the stereo pipeline produce dense depth and confidence images where passive stereo would have limited correspondence.

Depth processing runs on a connected rc_cube or through Roboception's SGM Producer on a GPU host. Full-resolution depth reaches 2.8 hertz on the referenced RTX 2070 configuration, while lower-resolution modes reach nine hertz. GenICam, C++, ROS 1 and ROS 2 interfaces integrate the sensor with robot software and machine-vision systems. The IP54 unit measures 262 × 204 × 82 millimetres, weighs 1.64 kilograms and is passively cooled.
