About

About SPRINT-Nav

SPRINT-Nav is Sonardyne's integrated acoustic-inertial navigation unit for ROVs, AUVs, USVs and other marine vehicles. A titanium housing combines a SPRINT inertial navigation system, Syrinx Doppler velocity log and pressure sensor, supplying position, altitude, depth, heading, velocity and motion data from one pre-calibrated instrument.

The I, S and X performance levels provide typical DVL-aided survey accuracy of 0.03%, 0.02% and 0.01%, with 4,000 m or 6,000 m depth-rated housings. Standard 625 kHz DVL configurations bottom-track to 175 m, while the 375 kHz high-altitude option reaches 230 m. The unit outputs data at up to 200 Hz and can add current profiling through an ADCP upgrade.
