Mission Specialist Wraith is VideoRay’s battery-powered flagship ROV for demanding subsea inspection, defence and scientific missions. Ten vectored thrusters provide true six-degree-of-freedom movement and let the vehicle hold vertical, inverted or rolled attitudes. The Expeditionary configuration is rated to 1,000 metres, produces more than 80 pounds of forward thrust and reaches 4.2 knots forward.
The 99.8-kilogram vehicle measures 131.2 by 77.6 by 34.3 centimetres and carries six subsea batteries with 2 kWh total energy. Its Ultra 4K camera combines a 12.3-megapixel sensor, 1 TB storage and an NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX processor. A 1,500-metre fibre-optic tether connects to the rugged topside controller. The Mission Specialist network accepts imaging, navigation and manipulation modules, and quick-change thrusters support field service and mission reconfiguration. Wraith launched publicly in January 2026 as a distinct platform within the Mission Specialist line.
