Booster T2 is available
Booster built traction with lower-cost humanoids for developers, education and robot-sports teams. T2 extends that strategy into a higher-performance embodied-AI platform.
Booster Robotics has made T2 available and the product looks more like the next step in a go-to-market strategy.
Booster has been executing a specific go-to-market strategy: purchasable humanoid hardware for developers, research labs, education programmes and robot-sports teams. Booster's own site positions K1 as an "introductory embodied development platform" starting at $5,999, T1 as "made for developers," and T2 as a new "flagship embodied development platform."
Unitree G1 helped define the low-cost purchasable humanoid category; a platform developers, universities and robotics teams could actually buy rather than wait for enterprise pilots or build from scratch. Booster is operating in that same broad category of accessible humanoid hardware, but with a sharper emphasis on education, RoboCup, robot sports and software tooling.
The company has already shown traction there.
Booster said T1 reached mass production and global shipment in January 2025, with more than 50 units shipped within three months of launch.
By October 2025, the company said it had shipped more than 700 humanoid robots globally, serving 200+ clients across 20+ countries and more than 70 universities and research institutions.
The next step came in April 2026. Booster completed a financing round worth nearly RMB 1 billion (~US$140M), while reporting Q1 shipments up 500% year over year, January-February orders up 800%, positive operating cash flow in December 2025, and 1,000+ K1 units shipped across 20+ countries and 400 clients.
Booster has moved from dozens of shipped robots, to hundreds, to more than a thousand while steadily moving its hardware further upmarket.
Rather than replacing K1 or T1, Booster is extending its developer-humanoid range into a higher-performance tier, giving existing developer, research and education customers a more capable platform without changing the company's underlying go-to-market.
The company's route to market has also been closely tied to robot competition and education.
RoboCup's 2026 programme update says new agreements with Unitree and Booster introduced additional humanoid platform options. The update specifically names the Booster K1 RoboCup Edition, says teams can order robots directly from manufacturers, and describes a dedicated robot pool where teams bringing K1 or T1 robots could receive additional platforms during the competition.
Robot sports such as RoboCup are interesting because they function as more than competitions. They become distribution channels, validation environments and developer communities. Teams need hardware they can buy, modify, run software on, break, repair and improve. Booster has been positioning directly into that demand.
T2 now extends that strategy.
The platform brings 31 DoF, NVIDIA Thor T5000 compute, 10kg dual-arm payload, 2m/s walking speed and configurations up to a 6-DoF dexterous hand. It is still framed as development hardware, but it sits above Booster's earlier lower-cost entry points in capability and positioning.
Not every humanoid company has to begin with factories, warehouses or homes.
