Figure builds its 1,000th F.03 humanoid
BotQ has reached 1,000 completed units, up from 350 in April, though Figure has not disclosed customer fleet sizes.

Figure says BotQ has manufactured its 1,000th F.03 humanoid, marking a new production milestone for its third-generation robot.
The disclosure came from founder and CEO Brett Adcock on July 23. It arrives less than three months after Figure reported that BotQ had completed more than 350 Figure 03 units.

The increase is significant, but one thousand robots manufactured does not mean 1,000 robots have been commercially deployed.
Figure has not disclosed how many F.03 units are operating with individual customers. Its own production reporting shows that much of the fleet supports internal research, Helix data collection, household-task development and commercial use-case work.
Production has accelerated
In its April production update, Figure said BotQ had delivered more than 350 third-generation humanoids and increased its production rate from one robot per day to a demonstrated one-hour cycle time.
Figure said it had demonstrated the cycle time required for its production targets; it did not report that BotQ was sustaining one completed robot every hour across continuous shifts.
The same update described dedicated production lines for critical modules, more than 150 networked manufacturing workstations and internal software for tracking the build process. Robots leaving BotQ were allocated across research and development, data collection, end-to-end household work and commercial programmes.
Figure 03 was designed around that manufacturing model. The company’s launch material for Figure 03 describes a shift away from the CNC-heavy construction used for Figure 02 toward die-casting, injection moulding and stamping. Figure also vertically integrated production of modules including actuators, batteries, sensors, structures and electronics.
The milestone indicates that the supply chain, tooling, module lines and testing systems around F.03 are producing at substantially greater volume than earlier in the year.
Output is not the same as deployment
The commercial picture remains less transparent than the factory output.
Figure has announced programmes with BMW and Catalyst Brands, but neither company has disclosed the size of its customer fleet. The 1,000-unit total also includes robots used at Figure’s own facilities and across development programmes.
That makes the milestone primarily a measure of manufacturing progress and fleet availability. It is not yet a measure of customer adoption, utilisation or revenue-generating deployment.
The distinction is especially important at BMW.
Figure’s earlier production results from BMW Spartanburg relate to Figure 02, not F.03. Figure said the second-generation robots accumulated more than 1,250 operating hours, loaded more than 90,000 parts and contributed to the production of more than 30,000 BMW X3 vehicles during the programme.
Those figures established an operating history for F.02 and informed the design of its successor.
The newer programme began when F.03 arrived at BMW’s Spartanburg plant in June. The robot is being used for a sequencing workflow in Hall 52, combining parts handling, cart movement and whole-body repositioning under Helix 02 control. Figure has shown the task, but has not disclosed fleet size, operating hours or production contribution for F.03.
Commercial programmes remain early
Figure also signed an agreement with Catalyst Brands to introduce humanoids at the group’s Reno, Nevada distribution and logistics centre.
The programme targets physically demanding supply-chain tasks across a retail portfolio that includes JCPenney, Aéropostale and Brooks Brothers. Figure described the agreement as a starting point for wider deployment, but did not disclose the number of robots involved or a delivery timetable.
BMW and Catalyst therefore represent distinct commercial routes: automotive manufacturing and distribution-centre logistics. Both provide real operating environments, but neither currently supports a public count of deployed F.03 units.
BotQ’s next threshold
Figure introduced BotQ as a high-volume humanoid factory with a first-generation line designed for stated capacity of up to 12,000 robots per year. It also set a goal of producing 100,000 robots over four years.
The 1,000-unit milestone is the clearest disclosed measure so far of how far actual production has moved toward those targets.
