Humanoid Production Update
Figure reaches 1,000 robots, EngineAI activates a second production base and Humanoid funds a partner-led manufacturing plan.
Figure says BotQ has manufactured its 1,000th F.03, up from more than 350 units in late April. It previously reported moving from one robot per day to a demonstrated one-hour cycle, while BotQ’s first line is designed for up to 12,000 units annually.
The fleet is split across internal research, Helix data collection, household development and commercial programmes.
F.03 has now arrived at BMW’s Spartanburg plant, following an F.02 programme that logged more than 1,250 hours and contributed to production of over 30,000 vehicles.
Figure has also signed Catalyst Brands for distribution-centre work, beginning in Reno on physically demanding supply-chain tasks, although neither customer has disclosed fleet size.
EngineAI adds Zhengzhou production
EngineAI has rolled out the first batch of T800 humanoids manufactured in Zhengzhou, with units intended for customers in China and overseas.
The company began T800 production at its 12,000-square-metre Shenzhen base in May, where it claimed a designed cycle time of one robot every 15 minutes.
Zhengzhou was established as a second production and research base, with initial annual capacity reported at around 5,000 humanoids and later expansion towards 10,000.
EngineAI has not disclosed the latest batch size or cumulative deliveries. The rollout nevertheless gives it physical output from two production locations rather than a single flagship line.
Humanoid funds a partner-led ramp
Humanoid’s new $152 million Series A values the UK company at $1.35 billion and takes total funding to $270 million. The capital will support the move into scaled production of its wheeled industrial robots.
Its manufacturing model relies on established industrial partners. Bosch is supporting robot manufacturing following an earlier proof of concept, while Schaeffler is the preferred supplier for more than half of Humanoid’s actuator requirements through 2031.
Schaeffler also plans to deploy between 1,000 and 2,000 Humanoid robots across its factories by 2032, beginning with two German sites. That makes it both a critical supplier and a prospective anchor customer.
Beta deployments are expected to begin in the fourth quarter of 2026.
Other lines moving forward
Tesla is converting Fremont space into a dedicated Optimus production area and installing equipment, with output expected later in 2026. Initial units are intended mainly for internal training and development.
XPeng plans to begin IRON mass production by year-end and is targeting monthly capacity above 1,000 units before a wider launch in 2027.
AheadForm raised several hundred million yuan in Series A2 funding, partly to establish a standardised production line for its hyper-realistic humanoid heads.
Foundation Future Industries told Reuters it plans to open a 5,000-unit Phantom factory in October, followed by construction of a proposed 50,000-unit facility next year. Those remain company targets rather than achieved capacity.
