OTTO Motors is building OTTO 600 into midsize AMR handling
A March 20, 2023 OTTO 600 launch, 600 kg payload, and OTTO Lifter fleet compatibility give OTTO Motors a factory material-handling anchor.
OTTO Motors unveiled OTTO 600 in Kitchener, Ontario on March 20, 2023. The AMR moves pallets, carts, and payloads up to 600 kilograms, filling a midsize material-handling slot between smaller AMRs and autonomous forklifts.
OTTO 600 uses all-metal construction and an IP54 rating for factory environments, giving the robot dust and splash resistance for plant-floor traffic. The product is aimed at constrained production spaces where payload, reliability, and aisle interaction matter more than warehouse novelty.
OTTO Motors announced OTTO Lifter on March 24, 2022 as an autonomous forklift for pallet pickup and drop-off. The release states that OTTO Lifter is compatible with OTTO Motors Fleet Manager, connecting midsize AMRs and pallet handling through one software layer.
OTTO Motors grew out of Clearpath Robotics in Kitchener and was later acquired by Rockwell Automation. That context gives the AMR line a path into industrial automation channels where customers already buy controls, safety systems, and factory software.
The competitive field includes MiR, Seegrid, Vecna Robotics, ForwardX, AGILOX, Locus Robotics, Geekplus, and autonomous forklift programs from Balyo and others. OTTO?s distinction is heavy industrial AMR experience plus fleet-management integration across cart, pallet, and forklift-style movement.
Public material does not show customer-verified moves per shift, site-level uptime, traffic-delay rate, service response time, repeat purchase rate by factory, price per robot, maintenance cost, current fleet size, or customer retention. The proof is product architecture and industrial AMR lineage.
OTTO 600 tests whether midsize AMRs can become the connective tissue of factory material flow. If Rockwell?s industrial channel helps OTTO combine robots, fleet software, and controls, the company can position AMRs as part of plant automation rather than a standalone logistics add-on.
