ROKAE raises $112M in Hong Kong listing

The industrial and collaborative-robot manufacturer joined three other Chinese autonomy companies that began trading within 48 hours.

ROKAE Robotics has begun trading in Hong Kong after raising approximately US$112 million. The listing brings one of China’s more established domestic robot manufacturers into the public markets. ROKAE has built its business around industrial robots and collaborative arms used across automotive, electronics, photovoltaics and other manufacturing applications. It now serves customers in more than 40 countries.

ROKAE was the fourth Chinese robotics or autonomy company to begin trading in Hong Kong within 48 hours, following Momenta, EACON and Reconova. Together, the four offerings raised approximately US$1.23 billion.

And the pipeline behind them is much larger.

Bloomberg reported in June that at least 46 robotics-related companies were waiting to list in Hong Kong, representing more than 10% of all IPO applicants. The companies span industrial robotics, humanoids, autonomous driving, mining autonomy and machine vision.
