About

About Horizon Aircraft

Horizon Aircraft was co-founded in 2013 by Brandon and Brian Robinson in Lindsay, Ontario. The company tested sub-scale and 50%-scale Cavorite demonstrators before completing untethered, wing-borne and full-wing transition milestones; it listed on Nasdaq in 2024 and locked the full-scale X7 outer mould line in January 2026 as the programme moved from design into manufacturing.

The Cavorite X7 places electrically driven lift fans inside the wing and closes their covers for low-drag forward flight powered by a hybrid system. Horizon advertises one pilot plus six passengers, 680 kg payload, up to 800 km range and 460 km/h maximum speed, while noting that the aircraft shown remains a large-scale prototype. The architecture is intended to preserve runway flexibility and long range without external charging. Manufacturing and systems partners now cover the fuselage, wings, flight controls and development support, but certification and full-scale flight testing remain ahead.
