VinMotion unveils Motion 2 humanoid robot

VinMotion unveiled Motion 2 as its second-generation humanoid robot, adding heavier lifting, fall recovery and autonomous power management within its first year of public development.

VinMotion unveiled Motion 2 in December 2025, its second-generation humanoid robot, less than a year after the first Motion platform appeared publicly. The new version adds a 40-kilogram lift capacity, fall recovery, autonomous charging dock navigation, and hot-swappable batteries.

VinMotion sits within Vingroup's technology and industrials group alongside VinRobotics. Vingroup is Vietnam's largest private conglomerate, with prior technology ventures including VinFast in electric vehicles, VinAI in artificial intelligence research, and VinBigData in data infrastructure. The conglomerate has a consistent pattern across those businesses of moving from founding to hardware product in compressed timeframes with national champion positioning. VinMotion follows the same structure in robotics.

The company's stated deployment model is human-in-the-loop rather than fully autonomous; it describes robots operating with real-time human guidance and gradual learning from operational experience, with a longer-term infrastructure concept it calls Humanoid of Things. Motion 2's disclosed specifications reflect that model. Fall recovery and autonomous power management are continuity features designed for robots operating alongside people across extended shifts, where an inability to recover from a slip or a battery event ends the deployment.

Motion 2 has been publicly demonstrated with product-level specifications. VinMotion has not disclosed named industrial customers, operating sites, fleet sizes, or performance data from live deployments.
