BEUMER Group is building WCS into robotic induction and pouch sortation
A January 7, 2025 LogiMAT record places BEUMER Group around AutoDrop pouch unloading, robotic induction, WCS control, and real-time diagnostic services.

Robotic Induction At LogiMAT
BEUMER Group published on January 7, 2025 that it would present warehouse and distribution systems at LogiMAT 2025 in Stuttgart. The event record puts AutoDrop for the BG Pouch System beside robotic induction for loading sorting systems. That pairing addresses a front-end bottleneck in high-volume sortation: downstream pouch and loop systems can automate movement after induction, while staff still absorb the repetitive loading and unloading work before items enter the flow. BEUMER is therefore presenting automation for the handoff into sortation in addition to the sorter itself.
AutoDrop enables contactless automatic unloading of pouches and reduces order throughput time. Robotic induction replaces manual loading of pouches and manual or semi-automatic loading of loop sorters. BEUMER ties the hardware to WCS software that coordinates warehouse processes from receiving to shipping. The operational test is whether robotic induction and pouch unloading reduce repetitive manual work without creating new exceptions upstream.
WCS And Diagnostic Services
BEUMER Group says its Warehouse Control System coordinates stock replenishment, retail fulfillment, ecommerce, sorting, sequencing, and packing. The software also covers supervision, real-time material-flow control, and exchange with WMS systems. That places BEUMER in a software-plus-equipment position for warehouses that need item handling, sortation, and control logic in the same system. Company material records more than 6,000 employees in more than 70 countries, giving the LogiMAT offering a global service context.
The same LogiMAT record says the Customer Diagnostic Centre monitors customer systems and assets through continuous real-time data analysis. BEUMER describes more than 100 specialists in machine learning, neural networks, and artificial intelligence working inside that diagnostic service. Public material does not publish robotic induction cycle rate, AutoDrop uptime, pouch exception rate, WCS deployment count, or customer-level labor savings. The clearest public metric would be inducted items per labor hour by sortation site under BEUMER Group.
